Abstract
This course provides participants with an overview to understand concepts of green economy, green skills/competences and green jobs as TVET plays an important role in the transformation process towards sustainable development. Target group of this course are persons generally interested in the topic “Green TVET” as well as TVET Teaching personnel, TVET Experts and Management staff as well as private sector stakeholders. Furthermore decision makers from political level and institutions could receive propositions for their daily work.

Learning objectives
On completion of the training, participants
- are able to name policies, strategies and concepts on green economy, green skills and green jobs
- are able to describe approaches and examples on implementing green competences in the TVET system
- can list selected teaching methods within an action-oriented approach
- are able to discuss different methods to assess green competences
- are able to explain an (example) training module on basic green competences

The participants learn what green competencies are and how these can be implemented on different levels of the TVET system as well as how they can be identified, trained and assessed in adequate manner. It targets persons with deeper interest in the topic “Green Competences” with focus on with focus on Green TVET, TVET personnel as well as TVET experts and private sector stakeholders.

A greening economy requires a workforce with adequate green skills. Based on a given framework structure participants will be introduced to a training module on cross-occupational green basic competences which either can be integrated into all TVET programmes or treated as a separate module. It targets TVET personnel as well as TVET experts and private sector stakeholders and highly recommended participants that have attended the courses “Green Economy, Green Jobs and Green Competences” and Development of Green Competences” before.
