Abstract

TVET plays a key role in implementing the vision of  sustainable development (SD) on global as well as on national level. Participants will reflect on the overall concept of SD and the role that TVET could play in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)i ncluding the importance of National Action Plans (NAPs).  It targets persons generally interested in the topic “sustainable development” with focus on Green TVET, TVET experts and private sector stakeholders.

Learning objectives

On completion of the training, participants

  • are familiar with requirement, meaning and content of the concept of sustainable development and the sustainable development goals
  • know global initiatives and activities on promoting TVET for SD and how they can support them
  • know the importance of NAPs for the strategic implementation of ESD / TVET for SD
  • are familiar with the process of designing NAPs

    TVET plays a key role in implementing the vision of sustainable development (SD) in economy and society. However, TVET can only meet this requirement if TVET for SD (Greening TVET) is strategically and structurally anchored in the respective national TVET system.The online-course practically introduces  how to design and disseminate a country-specific National Action Plan (NAP) on TVET for SD.  It targets persons with interest and tasks on action plan development in Green TVET, TVET experts from all levels and private sector stakeholders.
